    Le Trémail

    Besides being in love with this fisherman village with medieval history, their food was wonderful!
    I ordered their prix fix lunch menu (€18)and chose their anchovy appetizer and muscle/fish stew. You also get a choice of desert.
    Their anchovies are world renowned  here, so if you like anchovies, I would order them, they are as fresh as it gets.
    The fish stew had (sèche), cod and muscles. All fish is fished locally, and fresh is an understatement.
    Of course for desert, the " crème Catalane " for désert being in a Catalan region.  Excellent!

    We stopped here after finding our favorite (l'insolite) closed. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality and freshness of the food. The menu pêcheur, is a good value, but the menu enfant is expensive for what it is. My wife had the marmite pêcheur, and I had the poisson du jour. The fish was well seasoned and came with a small purée of squash and a mouse of some sort of vegetable. It was all surprisingly good.
